YANCEY CHRISTIAN RECOVERY SERVICES

Yancey Christian Recovery Services uses the exact same treatment program and modalities as Yancey Recovery Services. However, the differences are clients are freely able to discuss their religious faith, the bible, and biblical principles without offending anyone. Clients do not need to be a Christian or have any religious beliefs to admit into Yancey Christian Recovery Services. However, by admittance into Yancey Christian Recovery Services clients are fully aware, during group sessions the bible will be discussed and how the curriculum topic relates to biblical principles. It has been noticeably proven over the last 45 years, that addiction recovery along with the Christian faith, the success rate has been tremendously higher than secular recovery services.  Secular groups and Christian group sessions will not be mixed and will be at different times of the day. All Yancey Christian Recovery Services Group facilitators are State Registered alcohol Drug Technician, Certified Alcohol Addiction Counselors, Licensed or Ordained Pastors or ministers. 

Example: One of the evidence-based modalities we use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in short: Situations causes a thought, the thought then causes certain feelings/emotions, People then act on those feelings/emotions. The way to change those feelings/emotions is to replace the thought. Bible Verse that applies: Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (KJV). God created the human being, and He knows that keeping your thoughts on positive things will keep your emotions in a positive place.  There are many more things in counseling not just addiction counseling but that directly relate to the bible. That is why the success rate in Christian Counseling is higher than secular counseling in general, when the bible or scriptures are applied in the correct content and not to the benefit of the preacher. 

Yancey Outreach is focused on making the community a better place. We are a part of Cops & Clergy doing our part in building the bridge between the community and Law enforcement.

We also provide counseling in these areas: Marriage, and personal growth, Grief & Loss, Trauma, Depression, PTSD and other challenges one may face.
